RDI®  and Autism 

Autism is a neuropsychological disorder which can affect an individual's brain functioning and sense of self. A healthy sense of self is best developed through active, meaningful engagements which promote growth- rather than simply displaying compliant behavior or accumulating static skills. The natural process of developing well-functioning brain activity typically begins in infancy and requires both an actively-seeking caregiver and an actively-seeking child. ASD can interrupt this equation which leads to atypical brain development.​
